Hannah is heading towards the Olympic Games in London in superb style - and the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi showed why. The Scottish youngster won gold in the 400m individual medley in 4:38:83, a Games record and another brilliant achievement.

It was the biggest success of her career where she was sixth at the Beijing Olympics in the 400m Individual Medley Final.

In December 2009, at the LEN European short Course Swimming Championships in Istanbul, Miley won the women's 400m Individual Medley and took bronze in the women's 200m Individual Medley.

It was some month because she then broke the European short course record in the women's 400m Individual Medley at the British Gas Duel in the Pool in Manchester with 4:24.51.

She trains in a 25-metre pool where she is coached by her father Patrick, an offshore oil rig helicopter pilot who flies in and out for training sessions and she prepared for this summer's World Championships in Shanghai by retaining her British 200 and 400m Individual Medley crown's at the ASA National Championships in Sheffield.
