Presenter Q&A - Gethin Jones

TV presenter Gethin Jones

We know you can't play but what would you do if you won nearly £4.5 million on the Saturday night Lotto draw?

I'd take lots of money and put it to good use for the children I met in Malawi, Madagascar, and Uganda. I'd then buy something for my 14-month old nephew, Alby - and buy my dad the car of his dreams. I'd then buy my friends John and David the biggest sponge cake money could buy!

What would be your first holiday destination with a big lottery win? And who would you take with you?

I would take my dad to Patagonia in South America.

If you found out you had won the lottery, where would you hide the ticket?

I'd hide it under the base of John's sponge cake!

What do you do to relax?

I play football, watch rugby, and see my mates, who'd be a lot friendlier to me if I had won the lottery.

Tell us something that may surprise us?

I've got a private pilot's licence and I can play the bagpipes (but obviously not at the same time!).

What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind?

Welsh rugby from the 1970s onwards.

If you won the £11 million jackpot on EuroMillions, would you give up work? If so, what else would you do instead?

Absolutely no way!
