This section will provide you with assistance in completing the form online.
The easiest way to subscribe is to click on 'Start a subscription' and follow the simple steps on the screen.
If at any time you have a question as you are completing the form click on the red question marks that feature throughout the pages. This will give you specific information relating to the details on that particular page.

Enter your personal details/Sign In |

In order to start a subscription with The National Lottery you will be asked to complete your personal details and set up a username and password. This will enable us to check that you are 16 or over and that you have a UK or Isle of Man address and bank or building society account.
If for any reason we are unable to authenticate your details (eg you have only recently moved to your current address) then you will still be able to subscribe. You'll be prompted to print out the postal forms. These need to be completed and then sent to us along with your subcription payment and one form of identification.
If you have a username and password, then all you have to do is Sign In by entering this information when requested to do so. |

Selecting your Lotto numbers |

Step 1 - Playing Lotto:
Enter the 6 numbers that you wish to play for Lotto on a horizontal line. If you wish to choose another line then enter a further 6 numbers.
a) Each line of numbers you choose will cost £1 per draw b) Each line must contain 6 different numbers from 1 - 49 c) You can enter up to 7 lines on one form d) 'Lucky Dip' option is not available by subscription
Step 2:
Select which draw day(s) your numbers will be entered into. You can play Lotto on Wednesdays, Saturdays or both.
The cost of your first monthly payment will be shown at the bottom of your play slip.
If you have already selected to subscribe to Thunderball then the cost that will appear will be a total of the Lotto and Thunderball lines that you have chosen to play.
Why not maximize your chances of winning and subscribe to Thunderball too! Either click on the Thunderball logo to the left of the Lotto play slip or click on the play Thunderball link at the bottom of the page. The numbers that you have chosen for Lotto will be saved and you will be able to check these at the end.
If you do not want to play Thunderball then complete your Lotto play slip and click 'Continue'. |

Selecting your Thunderball numbers |

Step 1:
Select the 5 main numbers you wish to play for Thunderball (please note that you must pick 5 main numbers from 1 - 34). Then select 1 Thunderball number from 1 - 14. If you wish to choose another line then repeat the above process on the line below.
Remember:
a) You can play up to 5 lines on one form; b) Each line of numbers will cost £1 per draw; c) 'Lucky Dip' is not available by subscription.
Step 2:
Select which draw day(s) your numbers will be entered into. You can play Thunderball on Wednesdays, Saturdays or both.
The cost of your subscription to Thunderball is shown at the bottom of your play slip. If you have already selected to play Lotto then the total cost that will appear will be a total of Lotto and Thunderball lines that you have chosen to play.
If you have not already played Lotto and you would like to do so, either click on the Lotto logo to the left of the Thunderball play slip or click on the play Lotto link at the bottom of the page. The numbers that you have chosen for Thunderball will be saved and you will be able to check these at the end.
If you have already subscribed to Lotto or do not wish to then click 'Continue'. |

Purchasing a subscription online |

Once you have completed the details of the Lotto and/or Thunderball lines that you wish to subscribe to, you will be asked to enter your personal details to complete your subscription purchase.
If you have a username and password, then all you have to do is Sign In by entering this information when requested to do so.
Completing your personal details will enable us to check that you are 16 or over and that you have a UK or Isle of Man bank account and address. You will be asked to set up a username and password so that you can view your personal subscription details online.
You must have a UK or an Isle of Man address (not Channel Islands or British Forces Post Office). You must read the Terms and Conditions and Rules, the Privacy Policy, and the relevant Game Procedures: Lotto, Thunderball, and agree to them before you are able to Subscribe.
If for any reason we are unable to authenticate your details (eg you have only recently moved to your current address) then you will still be able to subscribe. You'll be prompted to print out the postal forms. These need to be completed and then sent to us along with your subscription payment and one form of identification. |

Paying by continuous Direct Debit |
 |
 |
Pay monthly by continuous Direct Debit and your numbers will always be in with a chance for as long as you wish to subscribe.
The instalment amounts and dates will be shown on your Subscription Confirmation which we will send to you. To pay by this method, you must be a signatory on the account that you are using for your Direct Debit. Once you have confirmed your details, ensure that you print off your subscription details so that you can keep this for your records.
We'll send you a Subscription Confirmation with all your details on it. Please check it carefully; you must tell us as soon as possible if there are any problems by calling 0845 9 125 000 or by writing to:

It is your responsibility to check your Subscription Confirmation, review the chosen game(s), numbers, draw day(s) and the duration of your subscription.
To check the status of your subscription application, Sign In by entering your username and password, and then within the 'My Account' section, click 'My Subscriptions'. Your subscription will not start until your Direct Debit has been set up and payment has been received. |

Paying by Debit Card |

Sorry, you can no longer pay for your Subscription by Debit Card, however, you can pay by continuous Direct Debit.
Subscribing by continuous Direct Debit means you'll never need to worry about renewing your Subscription again, as we will automatically continue your Subscription each month (though you can still cancel your Subscription at any time by giving us 4 weeks notice). Plus, you can spread the cost of your Subscription by paying each month, rather than paying the whole amount upfront. |

Paying by Cheque or Postal Order |

Sorry, you can no longer pay for your Subscription by cheque, however, you can pay by continuous Direct Debit.

Does my subscription start immediately? |
 |
 |
Your subscription start date depends on when your subscription was processed. Please allow at least 15 working days to set up the Direct Debit instruction with your bank.
Please note that your subscription will not start until payment has been received and funds have been cleared.
We recommend that until you receive a Subscription Confirmation stating the date your subscription starts, you should continue to play by your normal method. |
