A Whitby PA and her stuntman partner are still in shock after discovering that she had scooped the massive £7,544,200 Lotto rollover jackpot in the draw on Wednesday 10th December.
Jane Surtees and her partner Mark, who lives in Sutton Coldfield, celebrated her win by taking a trip to the local cafe and trying to eat a sausage sandwich! She can now afford to treat her family to a Christmas to remember in Disneyland before the two of them take off for a romantic holiday in the Maldives.
After attending a party and staying at a hotel on Wednesday night, Jane returned home and switched on Teletext at 7:45am to see the news headlines and decided to check her Lotto numbers. Realising she had won, she couldn't believe her eyes and switched on her computer to double and triple check the numbers.
Jane has five children and was trying to keep her win a secret from them while she got them ready for school. Her youngest child, Jasmyn, saw the numbers on the computer and said: "Have you won some money Mum?", and after reading the numbers wrongly added: "£7,500, wow! Can we go to Cadbury World now?".
Jane said: "I got the children off to school and rang Mark and then Camelot. Mark came round and we sat in the cafe thinking that everybody around us already knew. It is unbelievable. Last week I went to a family wedding and was so skint I couldn't even afford to eat anything other than prawn cocktail crisps and pickled eggs in my room! I still can't get my head round it, but it is very exciting." |

| Eric and Sue Tarry £7,649,917 |
A couple from Fakenham are celebrating after banking the £7,649,917 Lotto Rollover Jackpot on Saturday 29th November.
Eric and Sue Tarry banked the jackpot by sheer chance after a twist of fate meant Eric choose a Lucky Dip rather than his usual numbers. Having left his Fast Pay card, which stores his regular numbers, in his car he took his chance with a Lucky Dip instead.
He revealed, "I was buying my papers on Saturday when the girl at the counter asked if I wanted my usual Lottery tickets. My numbers were in the car so I just went for Lucky Dips instead. It was the last of these lines that won. I am still in shock."
Eric only discovered the win after waking up late on Saturday night. Unable to sleep his midnight wanderings led to him checking his numbers and discovering he had won. He woke Sue immediately and, perhaps unsurprisingly, the pair didn't manage to get back to sleep after that.
Eric and Sue have vowed to carry on running their local garage, which employs 3 people, despite the huge win. Their spending plans are still being thought through but treating their family is definitely on the cards. |

| Hannah Muckell & Lee Hallsworth £1,017,166 |
A young couple from Barnsley, are celebrating after banking a £1,017,166 share of the Lotto jackpot in the draw on Wednesday 19th November.
Performing Arts student Hannah Muckell, and trainee accountant, Lee Hallsworth, can't believe their luck but both are determined to keep their feet firmly on the ground and continue their studies. The couple have just a short time to pick up their cheque before heading back to college to continue their coursework. Hannah is studying at DeMontfort University and is based at Brooksby Melton College. She is majoring in drama and wants to become a theatre actress. Lee is a trainee accountant studying at Sheffield Hallam, currently with Netto in Sheffield.
Lee was asleep on Monday night when he heard a commotion downstairs. His father was checking the Lotto on Teletext and recognised Lee's numbers on the screen. They both checked the numbers over and over again and again before Lee raced for the phone to call Hannah, who was in her student digs in Melton. She turned the television on and saw the same numbers come up on the Teletext page and was completely speechless.
Hannah said: "I couldn't believe it was happening. I thought Lee was joking before I looked at my TV and realised it was true. I was with my best friend and we just sat in silence."
The couple haven't any major plans for the winnings as yet but are keen to get cars of their own and maybe even a holiday, during collage holidays of course! |

| Suffolk Lads and Lasses £2,630,225 |
A syndicate of 23, who work for a housing partnership in Haverhill, are set to enjoy their best Christmas ever this year after scooping a £2,630,225 Lotto jackpot in the draw on Saturday 15th November.
The syndicate, called "Suffolk Lads and Lasses", has played Lotto for 10 months. They have always played online, so it was syndicate leader Lucy Czilinsky who first received the news that they'd won. She received an email alert containing the good news that she should check the online account.
"After I had opened the winning email, I can't describe my feelings when I saw online that we'd won such a large amount of money. I think I just stared at my computer screen for a long time in disbelief! After a few minutes, I composed myself and started to contact other syndicate members to share in the good news - it just felt wonderful to deliver details of our good fortune to everyone."
The winning line was chosen by caretaker Jill Brown who said: "I was absolutely stunned when I discovered it was my line of numbers that won. I'm delighted because it couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of people. We all work incredibly hard and the money will mean a great deal to every single one of us."

| Jackie and John Livesley £2,630,225 |
A couple from the Stoke area, who are lifelong Stoke City FC fans, are cheering from the terraces after netting a £2,630,225 Lotto jackpot win in the draw on Saturday 15th November.
Jackie Livesley and her husband John can now afford to treat themselves and family to a Christmas to remember. Before that though, Jackie has her sights set on a trip to the Maldives, whereas John is looking through the Range Rover Sport brochure.
Things may have turned out differently if Jackie had managed to persuade John not to do their usual weekly shop because of the cold weather outside. After 'winning' her over and venturing out in the rain, they decided to take a trip to Leek and bought their Lotto tickets from Morrisons on the Newcastle Road at the same time - which turned out to be one of the best decisions they have ever made. They didn't discover that they were winners until the following day, after a morning of household chores. Jackie said: "I'd been cleaning the kitchen floor and needed a break. I put the kettle on for a coffee and checked Teletext. I looked, looked and looked again before shouting out for John.
"John was having a lie-in as he was working nights. He ran into the living room, realising something was up, and then calmly confirmed we'd matched all six numbers." |
