Upgraded National Lottery app for iOS and Android now available

Please accept our apologies for the disruption to the National Lottery apps. We’ve worked extremely hard to fix an issue and are pleased to announce that a new version of the app is now available for both iOS (Apple) and Android users. In addition to our usual rigorous testing, the latest version of the app has been independently checked for extra reassurance.

iOS (Apple Users)

  • If your Apple device is set to automatically update Apps – then your National Lottery app will update to the new version 4.4 automatically.
  • If not, to update your app, either open the National Lottery app on your device and follow the instructions on screen or go directly to the Apple App Store and update it from there.
  • If you need to install the app (because you deleted it or may never have had it) – please download it directly from the Apple App Store.

Android Users – who have the results checking app only

  • If your Android device is set to automatically update Apps – then your National Lottery app will update to the new version 4.4 automatically
  • If not, to update your app, either open the National Lottery app on your device and follow the instructions on screen or go directly to the Google Play Store and update it from there.
  • If you need to install the app (because you deleted it or may never have had it) – please download it directly from the Google Play Store.

Android Users – who have the version of the app where they can play and check results

  • To update your app, either open the National Lottery app on your device and follow the instructions on screen or go directly to our Official Android App page and follow the instructions to update it from there.
  • If you need to install the app (because you deleted it or may never have had it) – please follow this link to download it

The issue that has now been resolved – whereby some players may have seen an incorrect non–winning message when checking results with either the QR ticket scanner or manual–entry results checker – was linked to a recent software release (App version 4.3) which was available on 13 October for Android and 20 October for iOS (Apple) users. There are some very specific circumstances that would have needed to have occurred for you to have been affected and we’ve been working hard to reach those users who may have been impacted.

If you have any concerns regarding tickets you may have checked on the previous version of the app between 13 – 26 October, we'd encourage you to get in touch with us as soon as possible or re–check your ticket.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and hope you like the updated version of the National Lottery app.
