Planned Upgrades

  1. Why is The National Lottery upgrading its technology?

    Following Saturday's draws, we're making a series of planned upgrades to the technology that powers The National Lottery.

    These upgrades will help us to modernise The National Lottery, which hasn't had a significant upgrade since 2009. It's all about improving your experience over the coming months and years.

  2. What services won't be available during the upgrade?

    In order to allow us to upgrade the technology that powers The National Lottery, some of our services won't be available this weekend.

    Following Saturday's draws, The National Lottery website, app, and in-store terminals will be unavailable until Monday. This means you won't be able to buy tickets online or in-store during this time.

    You will still be able to buy Scratchcards from your local National Lottery store, and you can catch the latest National Lottery draws and view the full results for the Saturday draws on our YouTube Channel.

  3. Will I be able to claim my prize if I win?

    The ability to claim any prizes (either in-store or online) or log into your online account will be unavailable until our systems are back up and running on Monday and normal prize claim services are available.

  4. Will I be able to contact the National Lottery if I need to, over the weekend?

    Our Contact Centre will still be open over the weekend but our team may not be able to resolve some queries straight away as a result of the technology upgrades.

  5. Will my account details and data be safe?

    Absolutely. We take the security of your account details and personal data incredibly seriously. All player data is stored securely, and is protected by industry-standard encryption and security, to ensure your data is protected.
