What is EuroMillions HotPicks?
EuroMillions HotPicks is a new game from The National Lottery. EuroMillions HotPicks uses the main numbers from the EuroMillions draw (1-50) but is a separate game to the main EuroMillions game.
Just like Lotto HotPicks, EuroMillions HotPicks gives you the chance to win bigger prizes by picking and matching fewer numbers.
EuroMillions HotPicks games take place every Tuesday and Friday and it costs £1.50 to play.
How do you play EuroMillions HotPicks?
First, decide how many numbers you want to pick and select the corresponding ‘Pick’ game. You can pick 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 numbers. Each ‘Pick’ game costs £1.50 to play per game.
Once you have picked your game, enter the appropriate amount of numbers for the game you’ve chosen from 1-50 or you can select Lucky Dip® for a random selection.
You can play up to 5 lines of numbers on each play slip and buy up to 10 play slips at a time. Then, choose the draws and weeks you would like to play each ‘Pick’ game for. You can play up to 4 weeks in advance.
Do I have to play EuroMillions to play EuroMillions HotPicks?
No, EuroMillions HotPicks is a separate game to the main EuroMillions game. EuroMillions HotPicks simply uses the numbers 1-50 that are drawn from the main EuroMillions game every Tuesday and Friday.
What if I match some numbers and not all numbers, can I still win a prize?
No, if you do not match all of your chosen numbers in a game, you will not win a prize. For example:
- If you pick 3 numbers, you must match all 3 numbers to win your prize (£1,500).
- If you pick 3 numbers and only match 2 numbers out of the 3, you will not win a prize.
I've matched my numbers with the EuroMillions Main Numbers and Lucky Stars, why have I not won?
As stated in the Players’ Guide, only the first five numbers randomly selected in a EuroMillions Draw (the ‘Main Numbers’) are used for EuroMillions HotPicks; the Lucky Star Numbers (the two numbers randomly selected as part of a EuroMillions Draw from the numbers one to twelve inclusive) are not used.
What is prize capping?
Prize capping (which means Prizes may be less than stated) will only occur if the total value of EuroMillions HotPicks Prizes for a EuroMillions HotPicks game (e.g. the Pick 2 game) is more than the Prize Fund for that EuroMillions HotPicks game.
The Prize Fund is calculated by multiplying the relevant Prize Cap Multiplier by the total value of entries in that EuroMillions HotPicks game – see EuroMillions HotPicks Online Game Procedures.
If Prize capping takes place for a EuroMillions HotPicks Game, the Prizes payable will be calculated by dividing the relevant Prize Fund by the number of winning Entries for that EuroMillions HotPicks Game. This will happen in exceptional circumstances.
