How to play and win
Each Play has its own Play Number - this can be found on the Game outcome screen once the Game has been finished, in the “My Games” section of Your Account if You bought the Play via Your Account, and in the confirmation email sent to You if You bought the Play via Pingit.
At the start of a Play, on the right of the Game Play Window is an instruction overlay displaying the instruction: 'Pick 18 tiles to reveal YOUR LETTERS & any ; Match YOUR LETTERS to the letters in the WORD GRID; Complete 3 or more words in the WORD GRID to win the corresponding amount in the PRIZE TABLE; Reveal three to unlock the BONUS GAME; Press PLAY to shuffle the and letters'. You can display the instruction at any time by selecting the 'i' button and you can hide it by selecting the BACK TO GAME button. Below the instructions is a PLAY button which will animate to indicate that it needs to be selected to start the Play. Underneath the instruction overlay is a grid labelled 'WORD GRID' (the 'Word Grid') with 18 words displayed.
In the middle of the Game Play Window the twenty six letters of the alphabet are each shown once on a gold tile in a sliding selection area which can be viewed by selecting the up or down gold arrows (the 'Tile Selection Area'). Below this tile area is the label: 'GOES LEFT: 18' (the 'Goes Left Indicator'). Above the Tile Selection Area is an 'AUTO PICK' 'ON/OFF' button (the "Auto Pick Button"). Turning the Auto Pick Button ON will automatically pick Your tiles (or remaining tiles) for You.
On the left of the Tile Selection Area is the PRIZE TABLE (the 'Prize Table'). The Prize Table has ten rows, each with the number of complete words on the left and the associated monetary amount (the 'Prize') on the right. Above the Prize Table is a rectangle box labelled 'BONUS GAME' (the 'Bonus Game Area') with three gold keys.
In order to start a Play, You must select the PLAY button within the instruction window. The PLAY button will animate to indicate that it must be selected. Once the PLAY button has been selected, the instruction window will disappear, revealing the Word Grid, and the letters on the tiles in the Tile Selection Area will be replaced by question mark motifs and the tiles will shuffle. The gold keys will move from the Bonus Game Area and each gold key will 'attach' itself to one of the tiles, leaving three key silhouettes in the Bonus Game Area.
You must select one of the tiles in the Tile Selection Area or select the Auto Pick Button to continue the Play. On doing so the tile will turn over and reveal one letter in the alphabet, at the same time the Goes Left Indicator will decrease by one, and one of the following will happen:
- On revealing a letter that is in the Word Grid, the tile in the Tile Selection Area will change from gold to black and the tiles with the corresponding letter in the Word Grid will change from gold to orange.
- On revealing a letter that isn't in the Word Grid, the tile will remain gold.
- On revealing a , the will populate the first available silhouette in the Bonus Game Area.
To continue, You must either select another tile or the Auto Pick Button.
If You complete one of the words shown in the Word Grid, the tiles in that word will change from orange to black to indicate that You have completed that word. If You complete three or more words in the Word Grid, the corresponding row in the Prize Table will highlight and the number of completed words and the Prize will change from black to gold to indicate that You have won that Prize.
The Bonus Game can only be Played if a total of three have been collected. If You collect three , You can play the Bonus Game at any time. To play You need to select the Bonus Game Area. On selecting, You are presented with an overlay labelled BONUS GAME displaying three words labelled WORD 1, WORD 2 and WORD 3. After each word is a monetary amount (the 'Bonus Prize'), WORD 1 is a four letter word, WORD 2 is a five letter word and WORD 3 is a six letter word.
On the right is a popper with the instruction 'POP' on it. Inside the popper are four dice with one or two letters shown on each. At the bottom is the instruction for the Bonus Game: 'Match letters on the dice to letters in the BONUS GAME WORDS. Complete a BONUS GAME WORD to win.' Above is the instruction: 'GOES LEFT: 3' (the 'Bonus Game Goes Left Indicator').
- To start a Play You must select the popper. On selecting, the dice will rise into the air, spin and land back down. The dice may each display one or two letters. At the same time the Bonus Game Goes Left Indicator will decrease by one and if one or more letter shown on a dice appears in WORD 1, WORD 2 or WORD 3, the corresponding letter(s) in each WORD will change from gold to orange.
If after a period of time You have not selected the popper, the word POP will animate to indicate that You must select POP to continue a Play.
The Bonus Game ends when You have used all Your goes in the Bonus Game.
If You complete a WORD in the Bonus Game, the tiles in that WORD will change from orange to black to indicate that You have completed that WORD and the Bonus Prize will turn from orange to black to indicate that You have won that Bonus Prize. The overlay will automatically close and You will return to the main Game Play Window. In the Bonus Game Area, the amount that You have won, if any, will be displayed at the top of the Game Play Window and the words 'VIEW BONUS GAME' will be shown. If You select VIEW BONUS GAME the Bonus Game overlay will be displayed.
If You do not complete a WORD in the Bonus Game, the overlay will automatically close and You will return to the main Game Play Window. In the Bonus Game Area, the words 'VIEW BONUS GAME' will be displayed. If You select VIEW BONUS GAME the Bonus Game overlay will be displayed. You can close the Bonus Game overlay by selecting the x in the top right hand corner of the overlay and return to the Main Game Play Window.
Your Play ends when You have used all Your goes in the Main Game (the remaining unselected tiles in the Tile Selection Area will fade into the background), and used all of Your goes in the Bonus Game, if applicable. A message will appear at the top of the Game Play Window indicating the amount You have won, if any. The word 'FINISH' will appear to the right of the message. You must select FINISH to complete the Game.
