STOP PRESS: £57Million unclaimed prize area revealed
UPDATE: We can now reveal the location in which the £57Million winning ticket was bought was at a retailer in South Ayrshire, Scotland.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery said, "We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with this massive prize which could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life. We’re urging everyone who might have bought a EuroMillions ticket in this area to check their old tickets or look for any missing tickets at home.
“In the current situation, rather than taking a trip to the shop to check your tickets, we’re encouraging everyone to check their numbers online via The National Lottery website or via The National Lottery App. While we are all trying to do the right thing by staying indoors at the moment, it’s a good opportunity to dig out and check those old lottery tickets.”
If a player believes they are the lucky winner they should call 0333 234 50 50 in order to claim.
As with all major prizes of £50,000 and above (for tickets purchased at a retailer), approximately two weeks after the draw, if no valid claim has been received, the area in which the ticket was purchased is released.
This area has been provided by Camelot’s security team in line with its licence obligations and is designed to encourage tickets to be checked but also to enable the ticket-holder to remain anonymous if they wish.
The ticket-holder matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars to bank the entire jackpot. The winning EuroMillions numbers on 17th March were 05, 07, 08, 16 and 20, with the Lucky Stars 02 and 12.
