Outstanding news – BAFTA nominations for National Lottery funded films

The BAFTA Film nominations have been announced including six for films with National Lottery funding via the BFI's Film Fund.

God’s Own Country and Lady Macbeth are both in the running for the prestigious Outstanding British Film award.

New talent is recognised with I am Not A Witch, Kingdom Of Us and Lady Macbeth all nominated for Outstanding Debut by a British writer, director or producer. Wren Boys is nominated for British Short Film.

On top of that, Josh O'Connor from God's Own Country and Florence Pugh from Lady Macbeth have both been nominated as BAFTA Rising Stars. This is the only category decided by a public vote, so show your support and vote for your favourite at www.bafta.org

Thanks to you, 21 National Lottery-funded films have won 42 BAFTAs.

The BAFTA winners will be announced at a ceremony on 18th February at the Royal Albert Hall, London hosted by Joanna Lumley.
