Lottery player turns surprise giver

There was not a dry eye in the house when the British Red Cross in Abergele, Wales and the Royal Voluntary Service received a recent surprise. Fittingly it was a National Lottery player from Wales, Roxanne Rylance (Roxi), who snuck in under their defences and got the tears rolling.

Roxi said: “When you buy a ticket you usually think about the money up for grabs, but I’ve never really thought too much about the fact that some of my ticket money goes to such deserving charities and community groups like this.”
