National Lottery Cinema Day - thank you for making British film amazing!

Did you know, every time you play The National Lottery, you help make British film amazing? Thanks to players like you, over 500 British films have been funded.

To say THANK YOU, we invited you to join us and see a film on Lotto, and be a part of the National Lottery Cinema Day. From cinematic classics to modern day masterpieces and new releases, there was something for everyone.

In 146 venues across the UK, on more than 300 screens with over 1,000 screenings, Lotto players were rewarded for their role in making British film amazing.

National Lottery players have helped fund thousands of projects across the British film industry. Since 1994 they have supported and nurtured new talent through nationwide training & development schemes, as well as engaging the next generation through educational initiatives in local schools and at BFI Academies.

Take a look at how you support British film in the video below:

Your support has also helped British filmmakers to create extraordinary films such as The King's Speech, Suffragette and Viceroy's House and Pride, as well as work with the BFI to engage new audiences through the BFI Film Audience Network and the BFI Audience Fund.
