Be inspired at ParalympicsGB Carnivals
This is your chance to get involved with ParalympicsGB during the Rio games. Across six locations around the country everything that’s great about parasports is being showcased. At Stoke Mandeville, London, Cardiff, Stoke-on-Trent, Nottingham and Edinburgh local people will have the chance to meet athlete ambassadors - inspirational local heroes.
Speed, strength and sensory
As well as meeting athletes, we’re giving people the chance to experience the three key elements of para sports – speed, strength and sensory. They’ll be able to try such things as wheelchair fencing, wheelchair racing, rowing and a blind penalty shoot out. The idea is to have a lot of fun while giving people a real feel and insight into what parasports are all about.
A big opportunity for your club
If you’re involved in a club or group, this is a great chance for your club or group to raise awareness of parasports and boost your membership. The carnivals are free, fun and highly accessible – and the perfect way to celebrate and support ParalympicsGB in Rio.
