The People’s Projects winners are revealed…

The votes have been counted and this week 57 projects are celebrating their dreams coming true, having found out they will be receiving a share of a massive £3Million of National Lottery funding through The People’s Projects.

TV film crews surprised the winners with golden envelopes containing the winning amounts. Thanks to National Lottery players, this vital funding is a chance for these projects to take their work to a new level, benefiting the communities in which they serve.

Projects like Rhubarb Farm, who were awarded over £33,000 to provide gardening employment opportunities for people who are struggling to get regular employment due to their ill mental health, physical or learning disability.

And Take Care of Me: My Life with Type 1 Diabetes by DigiBete, who will use their £50,000 to help young people and their families come to terms with and manage their condition. Using workshops they will create films to help thousands of other young diabetes sufferers, both with practical support and by boosting their confidence

And Stuart Memorial Hall Centenary Project in Tempsford who won £50,000 to run a community centre to host a calendar of social events to bring the whole community together.
