£48.5M to help survivors of domestic violence and sexual exploitation in the UK

Vulnerable women and girls who have survived domestic abuse or sexual exploitation will benefit from £48.5 million of National Lottery funding.

The Big Lottery Fund, one of the organisations which distributes monies raised through National Lottery ticket sales, will be helping to finance activities and assistance for vulnerable women and girls.

The multi-million pound investment will largely be used to finance tried and tested work where there is evidence of success and effectiveness. It will also raise awareness, support preventative work and share what works and lessons learnt.

Women and girls’ organisations interested in applying for funding can find more information at www.biglotteryfund.org.uk. Thanks to you, over £8 billion has already gone to projects that make a difference to people and communities in need.

The National Lottery has been changing the lives of winners and supporting good causes across the UK since 1994. In that time, there have been more than 7,000 new millionaires created and by playing The National Lottery you raise over £4 million for Good Causes every dayΔ.
