
Lionesses’ big win inspires the stars of tomorrow at Actonians WFC
What a result! The Lionesses made history last night by winning back-to-back European Championships following a nail-biting penalty shootout victory over Spain in Basel.
The team’s inspiring victory was celebrated right across the country, but had a special significance for Actonians WFC, one of hundreds of grassroots football clubs supported by The National Lottery. The Lionesses’ win is certain to inspire a new generation of women and girls to take up the ‘beautiful game’.
