UK EuroMillions winner of £34Million Claims prize

One lucky UK ticketholder has banked the entire £34Million EuroMillions jackpot in the draw on Friday. A claim has been staked, and once validated the prize will then be paid out.

The £34,037,587 jackpot is the eighth EuroMillions win in the UK in 2016. In February two jackpots worth £24.7Million and £24.6Million were won by UK ticket-holders, followed by a £51.8 million prize in April. All three remained anonymous. In July this year Stephanie Davies and her family syndicate from Monmouth banked a £61m win and three anonymous ticket-holders shared a £19.7Million jackpot in the draw on Friday 2 September. Each and every EuroMillions draw also makes a guaranteed £1Million winner in the UK.

Andy Carter, who heads up the team at Camelot which pays all of the major prize winners, said, "We're delighted the ticket–holder has come forward to claim their prize. This year is proving very lucky for UK players. This life changing jackpot is the eighth big win here on EuroMillions so far this year, just two weeks after three UK ticket–holders shared a prize of £19.7 million."

"By buying a ticket for this or any other National Lottery game, every player is helping to raise money for Good Causes. On average, £30 million is raised every week for projects across the UK, both big and small, from repairing Scout huts to making Olympic and Paralympic champions."
