£51.8Million EuroMillions paid to a UK ticket-holder

The massive EuroMillions jackpot prize won in the draw on Tuesday 12th April 2016 has been paid out. In the draw, one ticket-holder scooped the £51,818,873.70 jackpot, the third and biggest EuroMillions jackpot won in the UK this year.

The ticket-holder has opted to remain anonymous. Therefore no further details will be released about this ticket-holder’s claim.

This is the third and biggest EuroMillions jackpot won on these shores this year. Back in February a £24.7Million and a £24.6Million jackpot were won by UK players. This is on top of Lotto’s extraordinary run of millionaire making in 2016. The 4 biggest ever Lotto winners have all been made this year.

As rich as…

This jackpot, according to The Sunday Times Rich List, makes the ticket–holder as rich as pop royalty. Adele can apparently say hello to a £50Million fortune, Kylie is worth a cool £55Million, while Chris Martin and each member of Coldplay has a £52Million fortune. Harry and the lads in One Direction would be left far behind, as they are worth only £25Million each.

Just like every National Lottery game, EuroMillions helps to raise over £34Million every week for Good Causes. This helps fund our athletes competing at Rio, the nation's arts and heritage, and the many thousands of projects in local communities across the UK. See some of the projects you've helped on our Life Changing page.

The National Lottery has been changing the lives of winners and supporting good causes across the UK since 1994. In that time, there have been more than 7,000 new millionaires created and by playing The National Lottery you raise over £4 million for Good Causes every dayΔ.
