More millionaires – the UK lands another giant lottery winner
The search is on for another giant lottery winner. One ticket-holder won a stunning £11M in the EuroMillions draw on Friday 2nd October. Players are urged to check their tickets and emails to discover if they are one of The National Lottery's newest millionaires.
A National Lottery spokesperson said, "Over 4,000 players have become millionaires in National Lottery history and more are being made now than ever before. This £11M winner is just a week after another ticket-holder banked £35M. We wait for the player's call and look forward to celebrating the only way we know how – cracking open the champagne!"
The £35M ticket-holder from 25th September has now had their claim validated and paid. The ticket-holder has opted to remain anonymous and therefore no further details will be released.
Once the £11M winner has contacted The National Lottery, they will be called by a Winners' Advisor. The ticket will have to be validated and then the prize will be paid. During the validation meeting, the ticket-holder can decide whether to go public and share their news. If they decide to remain anonymous, then no information on whether the ticket-holder is an individual or syndicate winner, or where the ticket was purchased, will be shared.
