Garstang couple bowled over by £1M EuroMillions win
A couple from Garstang, Lancashire, are amazed at their luck and have promised to use their £1M win to look after their family
Tom Nugent, who celebrated with his wife Brenda, said: "Things like this don't happen to people like us, it is a life changing amount and we are so lucky."
He added: "The best thing is that we can look after our family now which is growing with our five great grandchildren."
Keen bowler Tom, who worked as a heavy goods driver until retiring 15 years ago, also has plans to treat himself and Brenda. Tom will replace his old X-reg car with a new red VW Polo and the couple will book some city breaks across the UK. They will also be splashing out on a new bungalow in their home town.

Tom described the moment he and his wife discovered they had won. "Brenda had gone to bed and I was looking on the TV after the draw to check the numbers. When I'd checked them I then scrolled down to check the raffle code and couldn't believe my eyes.
"I called Brenda down to check and she was in shock. We didn't sleep that night with the excitement but we didn't tell any family until we had confirmed it as it didn't seem real."
