Win the EuroMillions jackpot and leap into our Rich List

Banking the EuroMillions jackpot propels you into the big league. No other lottery game in Europe and few on the planet can deliver a cheque for £90M or more into your hand. The UK has had more than its fair share of giant winners over the years including a fabulous five who have banked more than £100M.

Top of the fabled National Lottery Rich List are Colin and Chris Weir from Largs who won an astonishing £161M in 2011. The couple have not only won more than anyone in the UK, they are also the biggest lottery winners anywhere in Europe. The Bayfords banked £148M in 2012, an anonymous ticket-holder won £113M in 2010, Neil Trotter £107M just last year and the Dawes walked away with £101M in 2011.

Beyond lottery winners your win will place you among the fortunes of the rich and famous. According to The Sunday Times Rich List 2015 you need at least £100M to join the list of the 1,000 richest people in the country. With their win Colin and Chris Weir are the 627th richest people in the country.

If you banked £100M you would be rubbing shoulders in the rich list with Led Zeppelin legends Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. However you would leave more current stars behind, with Gary Barlow worth £65M, Kylie £55M and Coldplay’s Chris Martin £52M. Watch out for Calvin Harris on £70M and who can apparently earn up to $1M a night as the world’s highest-paid DJ.

In the world of sport you would zoom ahead of F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton whose wealth is estimated at £88M. Wayne Rooney is also ‘only’ worth £72M. Wimbledon winner Andy Murray is worth £48M and multiple Major winner Rory McIlroy has a mere £38M in the bank.

Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, has a magical fortune of £69M. Robert Pattinson can sink his teeth into £65M and Keira Knightley has plenty of pieces of eight with £34M.

As you check your ticket remember any win over £90M would immediately parachute you into sixth on our list. Any win over £100M and you would become one of the ‘super winners’. The UK trend of giant wins was launched by postal worker Angela Kelly from Glasgow who won £35M in 2007. Builder Gareth Bull and his wife Catherine from Mansfield won £40M in 2012. The biggest syndicate win was the Lucky Seven IT workers who proved to be very, very lucky when they shared £45M in 2009.

The year’s biggest winners so far are Richard and Angela Maxwell. The Conningsby couple currently prop up our top 10 with the £53M jackpot they won at the end of March.
