Sports bar manager scoops £75Thousand Instant Win top prize

An Assistant Manager at a Loughborough sports bar has won the top prize of £75Thousand on The National Lottery Triple Payout Instant Win game.

Ashleena Armstrong was relaxing at home watching Emmerdale when a EuroMillions advert prompted her to log-on to her National Lottery app. While she was there she decided to play a few Instant Win games; little did she know what a winning streak she was on.

The soap fan got into a bit of a lather when she won £10 twice in quick succession. Feeling lucky, she thought she’d use her winnings for one more go – which is when she hit the jackpot of £75,000 on Triple Payout.

'I just froze on the sofa!'

Ashleena said “I saw the Triple Payout game, which I hadn’t seen before, and decided to use my winnings to have a go. Then I got a notification that I had won and for what seems like ages, but was probably only 10 minutes, I just froze on the sofa”.

Having had the win verified by Camelot, Ashleena shared the exciting news with her partner Tom at the sports bar where she works. Together, the pair celebrated and started to plan how to use the winnings.

Originally from Sheffield, Ashleena moved to Loughborough to live with Tom. She formerly worked in hospitals looking after patients with mental health issues – an area she wants to get back into.

“There will be lots of celebrations with friends and family, but the first thing I want to buy is a laptop so I can get back into education and study via an access course. I haven’t decided which course yet, but most probably something to do with looking after people with mental health problems, which may lead to becoming a nurse. Apart from that, the money is going to sit there for a while whilst I take it all in.”
