Lucky find turns out to be £100,000

Decorator Lee Chivers and his partner Rebecca Busby are looking forward to a holiday and treats for their 4 children after winning big at National Lottery GameStore. Lee said, “It is unbelievable what has happened to us – we feel incredibly lucky.”

After a long Friday working, Lee found some funds remaining in his National Lottery account. He said, “I’ve not played online for 6 months but checked my online account when I came home from work on Friday night and realised there was some money still in it.

“I bought a ticket for that night’s EuroMillions draw and one for Saturday night’s Lotto. There was just a pound left after that, so I decided to spend my last pound on an Instant Win game.”

Reliving the moment Lee said, “Rebecca was next to me on the sofa and when I showed her my phone, she just couldn’t believe it either. We were just staring at it. The children were all there, so it was nice for them to be excited too. We then phoned both of our parents to tell them the good news.”

The win means Lee can upgrade his 20 year old Astra estate which blew up a few weeks ago with a new van for his painting and decorating work

As well as a new van, they plan to save for the future and give some money to an undecided charity, as well as enjoying a family holiday.

“We are recently home from a trip to Florida which we saved and saved for and have now paid off. But we are hoping to book a villa somewhere over the next few months for us all to enjoy a holiday together. It will be nice to be able to pay upfront.”
