Hairdresser plans dream home after Scratchcard win
A hairdresser from Llanelli is planning to buy her own home after winning £100,000 on a Scratchcard.
Katherine Jones has been renting while trying to get together a deposit to buy. She said, “I have been looking at houses for a while now but without much success as I haven’t saved much for a deposit so, winning the £100,000 on the Scratchcard is perfect timing.”
The win will enable her to buy a house and then turn it into her dream home, "I will likely find a house in a similar price range but with my Scratchcard win I'll be able to do work on it so I can really make it my own. I have always wanted to find a nice little project and winning the money has made my search a lot easier and turned a dream into a reality.
Katherine Jones bought the £100,000 Yellow Scratchcard, from The National Lottery GameStore, during her lunch break and couldn't believe her eyes when she matched £100,000 three times on the card.
A delighted Katherine said, "I was out during lunch, doing my normal shop, when I suddenly had the urge to purchase a Scratchcard. I was busy speaking to colleagues while I scratched the card. I wasn't really paying attention as I thought I would only win one or two pounds at the most, but when I looked down I couldn't believe it, I'd matched three £100,000 symbols!
"I was in complete shock and totally speechless – my co–workers who were with me did all the crying and screaming for me! It didn't seem real at first but now that it has sunk in, I am absolutely over the moon."
