New York trip for Rotherham grandmother after £100K GameStore win
A Rotherham grandmother was left in a 'quivering wreck' when she won £100k on an Instant Win game. She will now fulfil a lifelong dream by going ice skating in New York.
Janet Stones was supposed to go to the Big Apple for a special birthday treat 13 years ago but never made. She said, "I was meant to go to New York for my 40th birthday but never made it. Now is the time and I can't wait. I can't wait to go ice skating there."
The win came when finance officer Janet was supposed to be heading round her daughters but instead decided to sit down with her laptop. Playing The National Lottery's £100k Red Instant Win Game on GameStore delivered her life-changing win there and then.

With plans to get Ritchie a 4x4 to help get out and about when it snows, alongside the trip to New York, it is a special Christmas which is next on the list. Janet and Richie have four children between them and two grandchildren who are all very excited about this year's festivities.
Janet said, "I will be buying the grandchildren extra treats and it'll be a lovely Christmas. I'm definitely going to continue playing. It is incredible really to think when I won this week, I was supposed to have gone to my daughter's house, but instead stayed home alone with my laptop and was just playing online when I realised my luck. It is very magical, like a dream come true."
