Aberdeen couple scoop Lotto £51K ‘Grand Prix’

A Formula 1-loving couple from Aberdeen are set to shift their lifestyle up a gear after winning £51,355 on Lotto.

Lisa Forgie and her fiancé, Neil Robertson, both have jobs that revolve around cars – Lisa is a taxi firm manager while Neil is a taxi driver – but Lisa especially revs up her passion for petrol and pistons by following the thrills and spills of Formula 1 in her spare time.

Lisa said, “I have been to lots of Grand Prix races, including Belgium and the British Grand Prix at Silverstone but my dream is to go to Brazil. I’ll definitely think about planning a trip there now I've won!”

Lisa and Neil are due to be married in 2017 and, ironically, the couple met while both working at a wedding exhibition. However, despite now having enough cash to shift her wedding plans up a gear or two Lisa is looking further into the future

“I did think about spending some of the winnings on the wedding but what I already have planned is my ideal big day. We will be putting money towards a deposit on a new house with a garden for our son as he grows up.”

Lisa played and won online via www.national-lottery.co.uk and she’s looking to take the winners chequered flag again very soon:

“I’ll still keep playing. In fact, after I found out I’d won I logged on and put my numbers on for the Saturday draw!”

The National Lottery has been changing the lives of winners and supporting good causes across the UK since 1994. In that time, there have been more than 7,000 new millionaires created and by playing The National Lottery you raise over £4 million for Good Causes every dayΔ.
