Watch the moment a builder from Barnsley finds out he has won £1Million on The National Lottery.
Terry Kennedy, 28, discovered his life-changing win whilst on a break at work. Terry and his girlfriend, Kay Yoxall, 25, bought the Lotto Lucky Dip ticket the previous day, having almost left it on the shop counter before the assistant called him back and joked that the ticket could make him a millionaire.
At work, Terry scanned and re-scanned his ticket multiple times on The National Lottery app as he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He called in his sceptical work colleagues who waited with bated breath whilst he made the call to the National Lottery verification line – before finally receiving confirmation of his life-changing fortune.
Terry said, “I was confused at first and just couldn’t be sure it was a winner. Despite all the checks it isn’t until you hear on the phone that it is a £1Million win that you really believe it. Making the call in front of my mates and colleagues was brilliant and I immediately took them to the pub for a celebratory pint.”
