Second £1Million prize is ‘twin win situation’ for Faye and Richard

A Welsh couple have won a second £1Million National Lottery prize, beating odds estimated at 24 trillion to one.

Richard Davies, 49, and Faye Stevenson-Davies, 43, won their first £1Million prize on the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker in June 2018. Inspired by the incredible difference National Lottery funding makes to good causes and convinced they could land another amazing prize, the couple kept playing. Now, they’ve banked a second £1Million prize after matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in the Lotto draw held on 26th November 2025.

Experts at The National Lottery estimate the odds of winning the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker and then matching five main numbers and the bonus ball on Lotto are over 24 trillion to one.

Faye said, “We always believed winning was possible, and once we scooped £1Million and met hundreds of other lucky winners, we realised fairytales do come true and there are winners everywhere! We knew the odds of it happening again were outrageous, but we’re proof that if you believe, anything is possible.”

Their second big win was not a simple case of buying a winning ticket. It came to them via four consecutive Lotto draws.

Richard, a former hairdresser who now works as a courier, explained, “When you match two numbers in the Lotto draw, you automatically win a Lucky Dip for the next game. That’s what’s happened to us. We matched two numbers and won a free Lucky Dip for the draw on 15th November 2026. That put us into the next draw and so on, until the winning draw on Wednesday 26th November.”

Faye, a mental health practitioner, said winning their first £1Million prize had allowed them to see the incredible difference National Lottery funding makes in Welsh communities and right across the UK. She said, “By volunteering at projects that have received vital National Lottery funding, we have seen the impact players make. From Richard using his hairdressing skills with Haircuts4Homeless at a homeless shelter in Cardiff, to cooking up a storm at the Cegin Hedyn community kitchen in Carmarthen, funding makes a huge difference.”

Richard and Faye could easily afford to jet off in search of warmer weather this Christmas, but they have other plans. Richard will continue to work seven days a week as a courier so everyone gets their Christmas deliveries. Faye is offering mental health support to her clients across the Festive period, including Christmas Day.

What does the future hold for these remarkable double National Lottery millionaires?

Richard said, “Everyone keeps asking what we’ll do, but we genuinely have no idea at present. The first time around we gifted people cars, we donated a minibus to the local rugby team and did our best to help friends and family. It was all new and it was amazing to be able to make a difference.

“This time, who knows? We’ll take our time and enjoy the moment.”
