Expert advice on hand for EuroMillions millionaires

A crack team of experts has been assembled by The National Lottery to provide luxury lifestyle advice to the ever-growing band of millionaires. The advice is needed now more than ever with EuroMillions making double the number of UK millionaires from September 24.

The one-off Mega Millionaire Academy has gathered expert knowledge to guide future jackpot winners in their new luxury lifestyle. Whether it is demystifying exclusive restaurant menus or advice on how to charter a private jet, experts from the world of the rich and famous took new winners and players on a journey to road-test real experiences from the world of the EuroMillions millionaire.

Dream team

Cars are often a new winners first extravagance so Tiff Needell, former Grand Prix driver and Top Gear presenter was on hand providing insight to the dos and don’ts of the high end car market. Cassidy Dart, Director of Wine from Pol Roger led a class on the perfect way to serve and taste Champagne.

Gift wrapper to the stars, Neelam Meetcha dispensed advice on gift wrapping large and unusual gifts, running a practical session on how to gift wrap a Range Rover. And celebrity stylist, Zoe Tilston offered helpful tips on what to wear for those private jet journeys or significant social events.

Hosting the event was The National Lottery’s most Senior Winners’ Advisor who has years of experience in helping new millionaires make a smooth transition into the millionaire lifestyle. Andy Carter said, “There has long been a fascination with the UKs biggest lottery winners – what do they do straight away after the win? Most people have a ‘to do’ list for that jackpot winning moment and as a new millionaire, you can afford to act on your wildest dreams.

“My team pay out the win, can arrange a panel of financial experts and provide a huge degree of support from experience of making over 4,250 millionaires, but I have never had to work out how to hire a private jet or how you gift wrap a car as a present! By using recent winners and players to road test the expert advice we can provide a tried and tested guide which can help winners enjoy their life changing win as soon as it is in the private bank.”

Real winner

Viv Moss who won almost £7 million along with her husband Kev in 1998 said, “It is an amazing feeling to wake up, check your ticket and discover that you are rich beyond your wildest dreams. We are still pinching ourselves 18 years later, to see whether it is still true. Sharing your win with family and giving to charity gives you such a buzz. Of course you still do regular things like you used to do, but being lucky enough to splash out on something you have always wanted is one of the best feelings in the world.

“When we won we had super advice and ongoing support from our winners advisor and the lottery panel of experts, including the sensible stuff like legal and financial planning, but it’s the little things that threw us. I couldn’t have told you what to wear when flying First Class or not to park a sports car in a standard parking bay because the doors are too long so it was trial and error for us. It is great to pass on this info to future winners and help them avoid the indignity of getting stuck in a sports car in the supermarket car park!”

The National Lottery has been changing the lives of winners and supporting good causes across the UK since 1994. In that time, there have been more than 7,000 new millionaires created and by playing The National Lottery you raise over £4 million for Good Causes every dayΔ.
