Winners

Vicky’s looking forward to £10,000 every month for the next 30 years!

Checking her email early in the morning Vicky noticed one from The National Lottery and assumed she’d won £5 on her Set For Life ticket.

Logging in to her account she saw that, in fact, she was going to be receiving £10,000 per month for the next 30 years. Waking up partner Adam and shoving the phone in his face, she announced she’d won the Lottery. He replied, “What, a pound?”; she shouted “No, look, look, look!”.

Vicky, who’s an administrative assistant at an accountancy firm, was clearly on a lucky streak. Having also won £10 on Thunderball, she bought some more tickets for several different days. The last of her tickets was a Lucky Dip for the Set For Life draw on Monday 12th August.

While she’s determined to stay grounded, Vicky knows that life is going to change. She said “In a million years, you never think you’ll win big but this is life changing”. The family of four are planning to move to a larger home, with Vicky explaining that her youngest son would like a bigger garden to “boot his football about”.

Vicky plans to carry on working so she’s going to invest in a car of her own to avoid public transport. She said, “Adam and I share a car which means I sometimes end up on the bus. Just having my own car will be amazing.”

Travel is often a big part of National Lottery players' lives after winning, and Vicky is no exception. She’s hoping to pop a number of city breaks in the diary, and with Budapest high on the list she explained, “it is supposed to be very pretty”.
