A “pawsome” May for winners
May saw the UK learning how to live in lockdown. From video calls with friends and virtual pub quizzes, the country proved that it’s possible to be creative with your social life.
May also saw dog owners enjoying big wins. First we met Anthony and his partner Katie who won £1Million on EuroMillions just after their new puppy Lola moved in. Then Kim and Rich Pearson introduced us to their beautiful rescue dog, Loki (below), as they celebrated a Set For Life win of £10Thousand every month for a year.
In fact, there was plenty of good news as May saw 30 new millionaires created throughout the month.
The final week of May saw a sudden flurry of luck, with 14 winners taking prizes of £1Million or more. In total, these 14 new winners, collected £50,309,784.70 between them.
That week also saw a fantastic £7.4Million Lotto jackpot won on 30th May and a further 7 people walking away with £1Million for matching 5 numbers plus the Bonus Ball.
We also saw a pair of EuroMillions winners in the same week. The first won £16.5Million on Tuesday 26th May’s draw, while the second won £15.2Million on Friday 29th May.
It wasn’t just draw-based game players having a good month; Scratchcard players also saw some fantastic wins as May came to a close. Two players won £1Million each – one on Instant Millionaire Purple and one on Bingo Millionaire. There were also another two winners, one revealing a prize of £500Thousand and a second enjoying a £300Thousand win.
Huge congratulations to those who won a prize big or small in May.
