Full Terms & Conditions:

The Scratchcard-igan Promotion (Promotion) is promoted by Allwyn Entertainment Ltd (Allwyn) and managed by PromoVeritas Limited (PromoVeritas).

By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

  • 1. Eligibility: This Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man, aged 18 or over, with the exception of individuals named on the Gambling Commission’s National Lottery prohibited play list and excluding employees of any Allwyn group of companies^ or any of their associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies, employees of key subcontractors of Allwyn, and those employees’ immediate families living at the same address, or agents as well as anyone else professionally connected with the Promotion.
  • 2. No purchase necessary, however, internet access and a public Instagram account are required. A personal UK bank account in the Bonus Prize Winner’s name will be required to redeem a Bonus Prize (where applicable).
  • 3. Entry Period: The Promotion will open at 10:00 GMT on Monday 10th November 2025 and close at 21:59 GMT on Sunday 30th November 2025 inclusive (Entry Period).
  • 4. Entering the Promotion: To enter the Promotion, you must, during the Entry Period:
    1. (a) log onto your Instagram account (or create one for free);
    2. (b) find the pinned The National Lottery post on Instagram @tnluk;
    3. (c) comment on the pinned The National Lottery post on Instagram @tnluk; and
    4. (d) follow The National Lottery Instagram account @tnluk.
  • 5. In order to participate in the Promotion and to enable Allwyn to contact a Main Prize winner, you must keep your Instagram profile on a public setting and ensure your Instagram account settings allow for direct messages from everyone for at least two weeks after the end of the Entry Period.
  • 6. Maximum of one entry is permitted per person for the Promotion. No person may win more than one Main Prize and one Bonus Prize.
  • 7. Entries not complying with any clauses in these Terms and Conditions will not be valid.
  • 8. Main Prizes: There are a total of 100 Main Prizes available to be won in this Promotion. Each Main Prize is one The National Lottery Scratchcard-igan.
  • 9. Further Main Prize Details and Conditions:
    1. a. All Main Prizes will be the same size.
    2. b. So that a Main Prize can be processed, you are responsible for providing correct, up-to-date information, including contact details, when requested by Allwyn and confirming acceptance of a Main Prize within 5 days from the date of the initial contact from The National Lottery Instagram Account. Allwyn will not be responsible for a winner’s failure to supply accurate information which affects acceptance or delivery of a Main Prize.
    3. c. Neither Allwyn nor PromoVeritas are liable for any Main Prizes once dispatched to or received by a winner in accordance with the details provided by or on behalf of a winner and neither Allwyn nor PromoVeritas will be responsible for any Main Prizes that are not received, damaged or lost in transit.
  • 10. Main Prize Winner Selection:
    1. a. All valid entries will be entered into a random prize draw (Draw). The Draw for the Promotion will take place within 1 working day of the end of the Entry Period and will be conducted by PromoVeritas, an independent adjudicator.
    2. b. The Main Prize winners will be the first 100 entries randomly selected from all valid entries received during the Enty Period. At least twice the number of entries in relation to winners will be drawn from all valid entries received during the Entry Period and will constitute the reserves list.
  • 11. Main Prize Winner Notification: Main Prize winners will be contacted by Allwyn via a direct message to the Instagram account used to enter the Promotion within 3 working days of the date of the Draw. Main Prize winers will be asked to respond by email, to the email address provided by Allwyn and to provide evidence of identity, eligibility and any other information reasonably required by Allwyn. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the Main Prize winners. Once eligibility has been confirmed, a Main Prize winner will be confirmed. If a Main Prize winner does not respond to a direct message and accept a Main Prize within 5 days of the date of the initial direct message, Allwyn reserves the right to disqualify that Main Prize winner and award the Main Prize to a reserve selected in the same manner. Reserve winners may have less time to respond.
  • 12. In order to accept a Main Prize, each winner will be required to submit information to a data capture page, including: the full name, email address and contact number of the winner; a copy of a photo ID (e.g. passport or driving license) and the Instagram handle that the winner uses. The data capture page will provide Main Prize winners’ details to PromoVeritas, who will arrange for fulfilment and delivery of the Main Prizes.
  • 13. Main Prize Acceptance: Fulfilment of a Main Prize will take place within 28 days of acceptance of a Main Prize by a relevant winner. In the unlikely event that a Main Prize is not received by a winner within this timeframe, the winner must inform PromoVeritas by emailing TNL@promowinners.com within a further 7 days. If a winner does not notify PromoVeritas within this time period, Allwyn reserves the right not to issue the Main Prize, at its sole discretion.
  • 14. The Bonus Prizes: There are a total of 25 Bonus Prizes available to be won in this Promotion. Each Bonus Prize is one x £500.
  • 15. Further Bonus Prize Details and Conditions:
    1. a. Bonus Prize winners will receive a Bonus Prize of £500 via bank transfer.
    2. b. A winner of a Bonus Prize must have a valid UK personal bank account in their name.
    3. c. Winners of Bonus Prizes are responsible for providing correct bank account details to PromoVeritas for Bonus Prize fulfilment and neither Allwyn nor PromoVeritas will be liable for any Bonus Prize payments made into a wrong bank account, where wrong bank account details have been provided by a Bonus Prize winner.
  • 16. Bonus Prize Winner Selection: The winners of the Bonus Prizes will be the first 25 entries selected at random from all Main Prize winning entries, determined during the Draw.
  • 17. Bonus Prize Notification: Upon receipt of the Main Prize, Main Prize winners must brush the sequins on the front of their Scratchcard-igan to reveal 6 icons. To win a Bonus Prize, a Main Prize winner must reveal one gold “WIN” icon on their Scratchcard-igan. If you reveal a “WIN” icon, you must follow the instructions on the prize slip accompanying your Scratchcard-igan (Prize Slip) in order to redeem a Bonus Prize.
  • 18. Bonus Prize Claiming: You can only claim a Bonus Prize if you are the holder of a winning Scratchcard-igan and a winning prize validation number, which will be printed on the Prize Slip. In order to confirm you are the winner of a Bonus Prize, the unique code printed on the Prize Slip must match a unique code on PromoVeritas’s database. Before a Bonus Prize can be paid, it must be successfully validated by Allwyn. If a Bonus Prize is not validated, Allwyn will not be liable to pay a Bonus Prize. A Bonus Prize may be declared invalid if the unique code printed on the relevant Prize Slip does not match the unique code recorded on Allwyn’s list of Bonus Prize unique codes, or that Bonus Prize has already been claimed. Any claims received that do not meet these requirements or are received after any deadline set out in a Prize Slip, may be declared void and invalid.
  • 19. Bonus Prize Acceptance: Subject to clause 15(c), fulfilment of the Bonus Prizes will take place within 28 days of confirmation of a Bonus Prize, including passing all relevant identity and eligibility checks, by a Bonus Prize winner. If a Bonus Prize is not received by a Bonus Prize winner within this time, the Bonus Prize winner must notify PromoVeritas by emailing TNL@promowinners.com within a further 7 days. If a winner does not notify PromoVeritas within this time period, Allwyn reserves the right not to issue the Bonus Prize, at its sole discretion.
  • 20. Moderation: Allwyn reserves the right to reject entries which, in the reasonable opinion of Allwyn:
    1. a. contain viruses or other malicious code;
    2. b. are in breach of these Terms & Conditions;
    3. c. contain any content that incites violence, hatred or any illegal activity or that is threatening or harassing or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence, or any other offensive, defamatory, obscene or indecent content or content that is capable of being resolved into such content;
    4. d. are offensive, harmful, objectionable or which are otherwise unsuitable for publication including without limitation with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, or which could reflect negatively upon the name, reputation or goodwill of Allwyn or The National Lottery or any brand partner;
    5. e. contain or refer to any unauthorised third-party brand or references any third-party names, logos and/or trade marks;
    6. f. contain any content which has been created by an AI tool or which has been influenced by AI; or
    7. g. promote any political agenda.
  • 21. Provided no objection is received from a winner, a winners list containing the surname and county of residence of the winners will be made available by Allwyn four weeks after expiry of the Entry Period, for a period of eight weeks. The winners list will be available at www.promowinners.com/TNL. Winners can object to their details being published during the winner notification process. Notwithstanding any objection by a winner to be included in the winners list, Allwyn will provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority, where requested by them.
  • 22. Winners will be asked, but are not obliged to take part in publicity. Publicity may include recording and sending a video of themselves opening their Scratchcard-igan. Participation is at the winner’s discretion and is not a condition of acceptance of any prize.
  • 23. Allwyn seeks to run a fair and secure Promotion and prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not consistent with these Terms & Conditions, your entry (and any of your associated aliases) will be disqualified. Any Main Prize and/or Bonus Prize awarded may be void and recoverable, and Allwyn reserves the right to bar you from entering future promotions for a period of at least six months from the end of the Entry Period. For this reason, Allwyn reserves the right at any point to:
    1. a. verify the eligibility of entrants and/or provisional winners through multiple means by requesting such information it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose. Entry or a Main Prize and/or Bonus Prize may be withheld until verification is completed;
    2. b. disqualify entries that are not made directly by the individual entering the Promotion;
    3. c. disqualify entries made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or Mailinator;
    4. d. disqualify bulk entries from individuals, trade, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete entries and entries submitted by macros or other automated means;
    5. e. disqualify entries beyond the maximum allowed, or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their own or any other means;
    6. f. disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry process;
    7. g. disqualify entries which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these Terms & Conditions; or
    8. h. cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Allwyn which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion.
  • 24. The Main Prize and Bonus Prize are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for any other form of compensation. If for any reason a Main Prize or a Bonus Prize is not available, Allwyn reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute a Main Prize for another of equal or greater value.
  • 25. No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Where relevant, proof of posting or following will not be accepted as proof of entry into the Promotion. Allwyn does not guarantee continuous or secure access to Instagram.
  • 26. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram. By entering you are providing your information to Allwyn and not to Instagram, and Instagram is not responsible for any element of this Promotion.
  • 27. Allwyn and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using the/a prize(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude Allwyn’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
  • 28. Allwyn will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to unavailability of Instagram, Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances.
  • 29. All personal data supplied in relation to this Promotion will be stored securely and processed by Allwyn and PromoVeritas (as applicable) in accordance with current data protection legislation and their respective privacy policies, available at www.national-lottery.co.uk/privacy-policy and www.promoveritas.com/privacy-policy. Personal data will not be disclosed to an unconnected third party unless your positive consent has been obtained.
  • 30. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.
  • 31. The Promotion is not a game forming part of The National Lottery.
  • 32. If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail.
  • 33. Any decision required to be made by Allwyn is final.
  • 34. Allwyn reserves the right to cancel or vary the Promotion or these Terms & Conditions at any time by giving notice on The National Lottery Instagram page.
  • 35. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and their interpretation and application will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
