Did you know that by playing The National Lottery over the past 25 years, you’ve supported more than 565,000 good causes? You’ve helped preserve national landmarks and created national sporting legends. Closer to home, you’ve helped communities thrive in almost every way imaginable: from supporting grassroots sports and local parks to building community groups and neighbourhood art. Now it's your chance to choose how to make a difference.

#CelebrateNationalLottery25 is a £2Million fund that anyone can apply to and grants of up to £1,000 will be awarded for ideas that help bring communities together. It’s quick and easy to apply, everyone who applies and meets the entry criteria will be going into a lottery – giving everyone a fair chance of receiving a grant.

To help support the launch of the fund, the creative geniuses at Aardman Animations (creators of Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run) have come up with a short film showing the many ways that you could make a difference to your community.
