Life changing

You gave Jordan an opportunity in a galaxy far, far away...

Have you ever read those names at the end of a film and wished your name was there?

Thanks to you that wish came true for Jordan Freemster and 27 other amazing trainees – the majority of whom are alumni of the National Lottery funded BFI Film Academy – who recently had the opportunity to work as paid interns on Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Jordan, aged 19 said “I just try and learn as much as I can because genuinely I am so lucky to be here, I don’t want to name drop but… Star Wars. My mind is blown. I just want to take in as much as I can while I am here, I can’t believe that I am 19 years old and I am doing the job that I want to do, it’s not even work to me – I go home and end up wanting to come back, just can’t wait to get back.”

The trainee programme creates on-the-job learning opportunities in various departments including visual effects, sound, camera and editorial.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is in cinemas from 15th December.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is slated for release May 25, 2018.
