With help from National Lottery funding, Cantelowes skate park has become one of the biggest and best skate parks in the UK
Tired, worn out, old facilities make it harder for people to start or keep doing sport. They can also be more expensive to run and difficult to maintain.
The Cantelowes skate park in Camden received a grant from Sport England which helped develop a massive concrete bowl, ramps, skid rails, practice pavements and a performance platform. The funding also contributed towards the hiring of a Park Officer to provide coaching for skaters, making this facility accessible for everyone in the community whether they are riders or spectators.
