Eureka! The Museum for Children - play and learn

Eureka! The National Children’s Museum is a unique place for families and groups to visit, where children are inspired to learn all about themselves and the world around them by playing, imagining, experimenting and – above all – having fun.

Eureka! The National Children’s Museum, is a lottery-funded, interactive and educational museum offering children the chance to learn through play and is based in Halifax.

The Eureka! museum differs from traditional as the exhibits are hands-on, encouraging children to learn by testing, experimenting and exploring using their senses and imagination. The Eureka! site covers a massive 13 acres and offers both indoor and outdoor exhibits. The museum has four main galleries that deal with the human body, the environment, day-to-day life and sound, with two additional galleries aimed specifically at the under 5’s.
