Louis Smith has lost his medal and needs your help

Flawless pommel horse routine? No problem. Awesome Samba? Every time. But ask Louis Smith where his Olympic medals have gone and it’s a different story.

The Great Medal Hunt, a UK-wide competition, takes people on a quest across Facebook to reunite Louis with his lost medal and be in with the chance of winning £20,000.

To find your way, you must answer clues posted on Facebook pages of three charities and projects in your region that have received National Lottery funding.

As an elite athlete who has benefitted from National Lottery funding himself, Louis said: "Good luck to all the treasure-hunters and remember to take a good look at the life-changing projects you pass through on the way. You’ll find amazing people doing great things in your local community. Like me and my medals, they depend on your support – so thank you.”

And if you manage to complete the treasure hunt, the closing film features Louis channelling a few moves from Strictly – watch the above for a sneak peak.

You can take part in the Great Medal Hunt from Tuesday 8th September to Thursday 17th September 2015. Look out for the promotion on your Facebook newsfeed or go to www.facebook.com/TheNationalLotteryUK.

The National Lottery has been changing the lives of winners and supporting good causes across the UK since 1994. In that time, there have been more than 7,400 new millionaires created and by playing The National Lottery you raise over £4 million for Good Causes every dayΔ.
