Jimmy Carr finds out what The National Lottery has done over the past 25 years

Usually he’s the one dealing out the gags, but watch what happens when we turn the tables on comedian Jimmy Carr.

An audience full of celebrities including football legend Rio Ferdinand, Olympian Sir Chris Hoy, actor Tamzin Outhwaite and reality-star Scarlett Moffatt put Jimmy back in his place when he asks, ‘what has The National Lottery ever done for us?’

And in case you’re wondering, thanks to you, The National Lottery raises around £30M every week for good causes all over the UK. That’s more than £40bn since launching 25 years ago and an average of 200 projects in every UK postcode area.

For 25 years The National Lottery has been changing the lives of winners and supporting good causes across the UK. Since November 19th 1994 there have been more than 5,700 new millionaires created and over £41 billion has been given to good causes across the UK.
