Beatles-loving winners ‘Come Together’ at Liverpool’s Cavern Club

The ‘Fab Four’ members of the syndicate, who will enjoy more than £104KThousand each, run a popular pub in Hull. But Stephen Ullah, 70, his wife Beverley, 62, their son Stephen, 44 and daughter Deon, 42, are such big fans of John, Paul, George and Ringo they decided to take the ‘Long and Winding Road’ to Liverpool to celebrate their windfall.

Their ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ included a night at a Beatles-themed hotel, drinks and lunch at the Cavern Club (the venue where the Beatles phenomenon began) and a visit to the iconic Beatles statue near the Liverpool docks.

Deon said, “We're such big Beatles fans, so to celebrate in Liverpool – a city that we have so many family ties to – just made sense.” As well as Beatles music, the family are also devoted fans of Liverpool FC.

The family started their syndicate on Stephen Snr’s 65th birthday in 2020. Five years later they felt ready to ‘Twist and Shout’ after scooping a prize in the EuroMillions draw held on 15th August 2025.

Stephen said, “We couldn’t believe it when we saw the numbers come up. We’ve always played as a family syndicate and said, ‘one day it’ll be our turn’. So, to have actually done it is just incredible!”

Beverley added, “I only just managed to buy the ticket in time. If I hadn’t nipped out at the last minute, we would have missed out completely. I checked the ticket the next day whilst the children and grandchildren were out. Once I realised we’d won, I started running around the house dancing and screaming – Stephen thought I had gone crazy!”

After their Beatles-themed trip to Liverpool, the family is treating themselves to a few luxuries. Deon has bought a brand-new, high-spec motorhome and a new car. Beverly plans to buy a new oven and take some holidays and Stephen Jr also has his eye on a new set of wheels. Beep, beep yeah!

Stephen Jr said, “We’ve all worked hard as a family for so long and this win will allow us to make even more amazing memories together – including more family trips to Liverpool. We couldn’t be happier!”
