See a winner's world in 20 years: the top ten winner purchases in 2036

In 20 years' time the world will be a very different place. Flying cars ... computers that can see ... vertical urban farms ... hologram chefs ... off-world holiday resorts - and at the current rate far more than 10,000 National Lottery millionaires.

We asked Futurologist Dr James Bellini to scan the horizon 20 years from now and reveal the top ten jackpot winner spending priorities in 2036.

1. Space holiday: A stay at the recently-opened Starlight Hotel on the moon costs £2.4 million a night including transfers to and from Earth. Thanks to advanced 3D printing, construction of accommodation on off-world locations is now commonplace.

2. Staying with space travel: Fuelled by new technologies developed by NASA for the manned Mars missions that launched in the early 2030s, low-cost sub-orbital space flights are now available at around £2,300 a pop.

3. Keeping in touch with the world: The Telebeamer, the first product designed for real tele-immersion, enables you to project a 3D image of yourself anywhere in the world.

4. Back on Earth a popular travel option: Hotels that offer a selection of dreams as well as the opportunity to study and learn while asleep

5. Cheating time: Age Reversal is now a must-have for Peter Pan punters. The secret is using NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) a compound that rolls back the years.

6. Not to be confused with life extension drugs ... When the National Lottery was still a baby the longest a human had ever lived was 122 years. Now advances in biomedical gerontology have produced promising chemical options for the brave-hearted. The downside is a daily routine of self-administration.

7. But then if you are into serious longevity you can spend your winnings on a major breakthrough from the Russia-based life extension organisation the 2045 Initiative. In 2035 they successfully created a computer model of your brain and human consciousness with the means to transfer it into an artificial carrier - the idea being that by 2045 it can be hosted by a holographic body.

8. Talking of personal change: Forget pricey, high-risk plastic surgery. Gene therapy has transformed medicine for those who can afford it. Pick your new image and don't forget to update your passport photo.

9. Further enhance your body with hi-res smart contact lenses that use augmented reality overlays to give you an unbeatable experience in tactile, virtual travel. Go back in time to pay a visit to watch construction on the pyramids of Giza or the painting of the Mona Lisa. You can even touch and feel the history.

10. And for entertainment: The latest 'TV' uses 3D, 15k resolution holograms. Look, no screen!

The National Lottery has been changing the lives of winners and supporting good causes across the UK since 1994. In that time, there have been more than 7,000 new millionaires created and by playing The National Lottery you raise over £4 million for Good Causes every dayΔ.
