From fishing trips to holiday homes for Lotto winners
Keen angler Martin, 54, and his wife Debbie, 48, from Nuneaton are celebrating after netting £1Million by matching five main numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto draw on the 18th September 2019.
Having got his first bite after winning a Lucky Dip on the previous Saturday’s draw Martin asked his wife Debbie to play the following draw. Little did they know that his Lucky Dip was about to hook a £1Million catch of the day!
While Martin has already splashed out on his first purchase, a Volkswagen T-Roc, to transport his fishing tackle, rest assured it's not all going to be fishing-related purchases. The couple are looking forward to planning for a future in the sunshine and treating their family.
Martin said, “I never dreamt this would happen to us. It will make such a difference to us and our families. We’ve always dreamed of having our own little place in Lanzarote. We’re now in a position where we can actually do this, we can live our dream and go out there several times a year, perhaps even spend winters out there. And our relatives can use it too. One day we’d love to move to Lanzarote full time.”
And with plans like that, what better way to celebrate the win than with a glass of sangria – Salud!
