Go wild in the aisles! Set For Life win for shop worker

A shop assistant has won £10,000 a month for a year after playing The National Lottery for just a second time.

Ziyaad Fathe-Aldeen, 31, won the prize after matching 5 numbers on his first time playing Set For Life, and only the second time ever playing any National Lottery game.

While working in his local convenience shop in South Wales, Ziyaad regularly sells National Lottery tickets, so he thought he’d have a go for himself.

Speaking of the win Ziyaad said, “A few of them were buying tickets so I thought I would have a go, and I bought a Lucky Dip. You’ve got to be in it to win it!

"I gave the ticket to my girlfriend Nicola to keep safe. The next day I was back in work and she came in shaking. She said: ‘I think you’ve won’.

"I checked the ticket through the machine and it said I needed to contact Camelot. I was in shock.”

With the win confirmed and the first payment made, Ziyaad and Nicola are planning how to enjoy the win. Travelling is high on the agenda with Machu Picchu and the pyramids on the list, possibly even a world tour.
