Players' Guide

Can I play?

Yes, if you’re 16 or older and eligible to play under the relevant Game Rules.

Ways to play

Look out for shops with our crossed fingers logo outside or head online. You can email or call the National Lottery Line (see the Contact section) for other ways to play.

When can I buy tickets?

They’re available 06:00 – 23:00 daily at most Retailers, but not 19:30 – 21:00 on Draw days.

Choosing a Lucky Dip®

This is when Camelot’s computer system chooses random numbers for you. Select the Lucky Dip option on your play slip or just ask the Retailer for one.

Going for Fast Pay®

Fast Pay cards store your lucky numbers so you don’t need to fill in a play slip each time you have a go. Just ask your Retailer for one. Make sure you check your Fast Pay card has the right details.

Playing by Direct Debit

You can easily set up a direct debit to never miss a Lotto, EuroMillions or Thunderball Draw. Just search online for ‘National Lottery Direct Debit’.

Share the fun of playing and winning with a syndicate. See our website for top tips on getting started.

Checking tickets are valid

Make sure you check the game, numbers and Draw date are all correct. Also make sure the barcode can be easily read and all VOID sections are clear.

Unclaimed prizes

All unclaimed money goes to National Lottery Projects.

Always sign your ticket or scratchcard and keep it safe
