Lancashire's latest Lotto millionaire

Glen Gamble, from Thornton Cleveleys, almost forgot to check his winning ticket and only discovered he had won when he went online to check his account.

He is now planning on buying a new Jaguar car, moving out of the home he shares with his mother and taking his 10-year-old daughter to Disney World.

Glen, who always plays online, said he logged on to check if he needed to top up his account and discovered there was a message waiting for him.

He said, “When I opened the message it just said: Congratulations you are a winner! I went numb – I couldn't quite believe it. I thought it had to be spam and kept thinking was this someone winding me up and how could this actually happen? I still can’t believe it and I think I am still numb.”

Every Wednesday in May, Lotto is offering players two chances to become a millionaire – with a jackpot and £1 million raffle prize up for grabs.

Glen continued, “I was aware there were extra chances of winning this month but never actually believed it would really happen to me.”

Glen, a blind fitter, said he immediately decided to stop work after discovering his win. He said: “this win just gives me the time to think – take time out and really decide what I want to do.”

Glen currently lives with his mother and says he will now buy her a bungalow in addition to a home for himself. He will also make dreams come true, “I have always had to own a van for work purposes but now I can get rid of the van and buy a Jaguar instead – my dream car. My daughter has always wanted to go to Disney World and now I can make her dream come true.”
