Meet your Olympic Food Champions

European Champion in the 200 metres and 4 x 100 metre relay, Adam Gemili knows a thing or two about speed. And now he’s sharing with us his recipe for chicken, lime and cashew stir fry which you can whip up in no time.

Adam’s ‘how to’ video is part of The Food Champions Project – a collection of 40 recipes revealing the refuelling secrets of sports champions. Elite athletes including cyclist Mark Cavendish, Paralympic swimmer Ellie Simmonds and runner Lynsey Sharp have all shared their best-kept food secrets.

The Food Champions Project is a collaboration between The National Lottery and the English Institute of Sport (EIS). Thanks to you, Lottery funding supports our 1,300 elite athletes on their roads to Rio including access to the country’s top sports nutritionists at the EIS who work daily with many of GB’s leading Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

And that makes YOU a key part of Team GB. On Saturday August 27th we’re inviting everyone to take part in the nation’s biggest ever sports day. You’re invited to join our homecoming Olympic heroes and say ‘I Am Team GB’.

Brought to you by The National Lottery and ITV, 'I Am Team GB' will feature thousands of fun, free events across the country. To celebrate the support you give Team GB by playing The National Lottery, our Olympians will be there too.

If you’d like to host an event at your local sports club, it’s free and easy to get involved – sign up here http://iamteamgb.com/
