As 2017 draws to a close we want to thank National Lottery players for all that they have made possible for communities across the UK. Every time you play The National Lottery, you are helping thousands of projects and organisations provide support to people through sports, heritage, arts and community projects.
Last year, there were more than 13,000 grants provided by the Big Lottery Fund, the specialist organisation that distributes the community funds raised by National Lottery players, these grants range from a few thousand up to millions of pounds, but all of them have one thing in common, to support communities and make a real difference to the quality of life of millions of people.
Lavinya who has been partnered with a mentor through The Girls' Network to help inspire and develop her skills whilst improving her confidence and self-motivation.
Nora, who alongside her fellow volunteers at Dramatic Action are helping to keep the memories of those who gave their lives for us in the service of our country through their poppy installation in Bolton.
