Planned Upgrades

  1. Why is The National Lottery upgrading its app and website?

Over the weekend of 24th/25th January, we'll be making a series of planned upgrades to The National Lottery's app and website. From 11pm on Saturday 24th, after the draws, our app and website will be unavailable until the end of the day on Sunday 25th January. These are the most significant improvements since 2009 and will lay the foundations for us to deliver a better experience for you in the months and years ahead.
  2. What services won't be available during the upgrade?

You won't be able to buy draw tickets or play Instant Win Games on our app or website, and you won't be able to see or claim any prizes online or log into your account until our systems come back online. Any draws you've entered in advance will be shown in your account when we're back.

You will still be able to buy draw tickets and Scratchcards and check results in your local National Lottery store, and if you bought your ticket in-store then you will still be able to claim your prize in-store as usual (up to £100 or up to £500 at the retailer's discretion – please note you can't claim your prize in-store if you bought your ticket online).

You can also see the latest National Lottery draws and view the full results for Saturday's draws on our YouTube channel.

  3. Will I be able to claim my prize if I win?

You won't be able to see or claim any prizes online or log into your account until our systems come back online. If you bought your ticket in-store then you will still be able to claim prizes as usual in your local National Lottery store (up to £100 or up to £500 at the retailer's discretion – please note you can't claim your prize in-store if you bought your ticket online). Our Contact Centre will be open too, although our team won't be able to progress any claims straight away while the technology upgrades are ongoing.
  4. Will I be able to contact The National Lottery if I need to, over the weekend?

Our Contact Centre will still be open over the weekend but our team may not be able to resolve some queries straight away while the technology upgrades are ongoing.
  5. Will my account details and data be safe?

Absolutely, we take the security of your account details and personal data incredibly seriously. All player data is stored securely, and is protected by industry-standard encryption and security.
